This book seeks to summarize what is known about the sources of racial and ethnic prejudice in the US and to identify some ways that individuals and organizations can act to reduce intolerance and discrimination and thus render a person's race and ethnicity irrelevant to the determination of his or her chances to live the good life and contribute to the welfare of others.
