Global Corporate Citizenship.

摘要:

The author discusses the various activities that fall under the broad term "corporate social responsibility." Technological innovations allow information and goods to travel far and fast, spurring globalization. Such corporate practices have also created a need for a world structure that goes beyond present governments. There is a need for corporations to exceed imposed standards and set goals for sustainable development. Such practices benefit both shareholders and society at large. A discussion about international business groups such as UNESCO, Microsoft's Unlimited Potential initiative, and the World Economic Forum's Global Education Initiative is presented.
